Background-Check-Services
offers the following
criminal records, driving records, employment credit reports. We
offer all legally permissible employment screening reports.
Multi-State Criminal
Background Checks.
This instant report has
become the most popular criminal background record search providing
many criminal records from 44 states.
This report also
includes a check of the sex offender registries in those states as
well a check of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
records, Interpol, DEA denied persons list, Office Of Thrift
Supervision (OTS) and a number of other criminal record
repositories.
State Wide Criminal
Background Checks.
Most
states allow us instant access to statewide
criminal records information.
Some Statewide
searches are limited to felony or state-level misdemeanor
convictions.
Information provided by a statewide record system may
be incomplete due to limited date ranges or the
limited number of courts and offenses for which
records are maintained. “Offender” or “inmate”
searches are generally limited to individuals who were
sentenced to state prison.
The Federal criminal records search should be used if your subject
has often relocated within a state or you wish to verify if the
subject has violated any federal laws. In most cases, Federal
criminal records will not appear in a state level criminal search.
County Criminal
Records
This is a search
for county level or misdemeanor and felony criminal records. County
Criminal Records searches are the most accurate type of search
available. *Note: Since this is a manual search of County
Criminal records. Due to researchers schedules, time of order,
courthouse hours or procedures, search results normally take 1-3
business days.
On occasion, results can be delayed. These County Courthouse
searches are conducted manually by a local county researcher.
Why search county criminal records? Some states do not provide
Statewide criminal records searches, county searches are the only
option.
You may prefer the depth of a county search. Some Statewide
searches are limited to felony or state-level misdemeanor
convictions.
Often, you may wish to conduct a county
search in addition to a Statewide search. Some counties may not
submit records to a particular Statewide database.

Form I-9 Compliance
Background Check Services is
pleased to be one of the very first companies authorized by DHS to conduct I-9 employment eligibility verifications through the E-Verify
program on behalf of our clients.
Form I-9 requires every employer to
obtain and keep on file positive evidence that they have checked each
employee’s identity and U.S. work eligibility. Employers are subject to
audit by DHS and may be required to show I-9 employment form documentation
upon request
This helps insure your company's
compliance with the new laws by running your candidate’s documents through
DHS and Social Security Administration (SSA) databases.
E-Verify Program
E-Verify
(formerly known as the Basic Pilot/Employment Eligibility
Verification Program) is an Internet-based system operated by
the Department of Homeland Security in partnership with the
Social Security Administration that allows participating
employers to electronically verify the employment eligibility of
their newly hired employees.
E-Verify is free
and voluntary and is the best means available for determining
employment eligibility of new hires and the validity of their
Social Security Numbers. The E-Verify program will be launching
new and exciting changes later next month, such as photo
screening features and online resources for employees.
